We had a good outing today on the lake. I got to fish with Mark Cook, Rick Russell and Mark Thomasson. The trout worked early on in the morning in the mid lake area, but the bite slowed way down after 12:00pm. We hung in there and the bite started up again around 3:00pm. On the South end of the lake.
today's total was 16 keeper trout , one slot red and one keeper Flounder. We had one over sized Red @ 29" and so many 14 3/4 inch trout we lost count. 95% of the fish we caught bit a DOA glow/chrt shad tail rigged on a DOA chartreuse 3/8 oz lead head. We did catch a few trout and U/S Reds on a Hoganar. A lot of the bites were very subtle, the Power Pro braided line we used had the sensitivity so we could feel the strike and put more fish in the boat.
Got another party to fish tomorrow, hope the trout are still there.
Tight lines, Mike
