2/26/07

Spent Saturday at the Houston Orvis store on Westheimer. As usual the fellows at the store were great. I got to visit and talk fishing with a lot of people. I talked so much I had a sore throat by the end of the day.

I bought a 5 wt. mid flex rod to use on the schoolie trout and lady fish this summer. I think I will try it out on the Sheeps heads also, it should be fun with the light action rod. I also took home a new Zero "G" rod. It's an 8 wt. mid flex. My "T3" 8 wt. was great. The Zero "G" is supposed to be even better.

I didn't fish Sunday, I had to make hay while the sun shines. The biggest part of the job is now behind me. A little back fill dirt and I can start to build the deck and and walk ways.

When fishing season really kicks off in a month I should be ready for it.

Tight lines, Mike
