6/2/07
We had another great day on Sabine lake. The bite started a little bit later than yesterday but when the big trout turned on, it was on! We didn't have as many fish as yesterday but the size of the 12 fish we did have was impressive. We only had one 15" fish. Rob Holt"on left" displays one of the many solid trout that went from 16" up to 24". Harold lipscomb"on right" boated the biggest trout that weighed 4-3/4 LB. on the Boga grip scale! There were a lot of 2 and 3 pounders in the mix. I know we could have boxed several more big fish but there were some wade fishermen on these fish also and I respected their space and didn't float across their path.
The big fish bite ended around 10:00am so we ran out in the lake and fished slicks and structure picking up more solid trout here and there. Bone she pups in the morning and then DOA shad tails in LSU color under a DOA popping rattle cork put the fish in the cooler

Tight lines , Mike
