Great time at the Holder show.
It's not to late to get over to the George brown convention center in Houston.
The Holder outdoors show will be going on until Sunday.
CastAway rods has a booth set up with some really sweet deals on the entire line of rods they make. I found several HG40 graphite Skeleton series rods " Coastal wader special" Marked at $120 normally they go for $145 to $150.
They also had a new model rod out that was 8' long and weighed and amazing 3 OZ.! The should be available to the public next month.
It was great to hear all the anglers that came by the booth to say how many CastAway rods they had and how well they hold up. I had several anglers tell me they had several rods that were 10 to 15 years old and still going strong. Customer satisfaction and their loyalty is what CastAway is all about. Being located in Montgomery Texas is a big plus, by just being able to drive to or call the place they are mfg. and speak with the staff if you need a repair or adjustment that the store you bought it from doesn't want to work with you.
Any way, if you have time stop by and talk to the people that make the product, they are a wealth of knowledge and very easy to talk to.
The fishing on Sabine lake has been hit and miss as of late but a few die hard anglers are still catching Specks, Reds and Flounder. As the season starts to warm up the fishing will only get better.
